Choosing the right vehicle for the tour is a very complicated task. We found three companies that
manufacture expedition, off road motorhomes. Terra
cross, Action Mobile and Unicat.
However in the end we worked out that Terra Cross were the best and we found the Terra Cross "family" was the best they had at a reasonable price (makes the carnet cheaper), an all terrain, 4x4 expedition motorhome. It is rather spacious at 8.5m long! It has six seats in the separarate cockpit, four of which fold into a double bed. The main cabin has a nice kitchen area complete with mod cons of a house. It also has a quaint little lounge/dining area with a table. Opposite the kitchen is a bathroom with a toilet, shower and pull down sink and also a bunk bed. At the rear of the cabin is the double bedroom with adequate wardrobe space.
Alterations
The Commvee "Cruising"
1) Making the commvee amphibious, this will definitly be the hardest and most expensive alteration to the commvee. After many days of search, we finally found a company based in Malta which produces amphibious tour coaches and they can convert the commvee chassis to be bouyant enough to make the commvee float.

The nice dining area locate at the front of the cabin, with a hatch into the cockpit.
A view of the galley kitchen, has all the mod cons of a house!
Beds are in plentiful, a double bed at the rear and a bunk at the front.
The bathroon has a toilet, overhead shower and also a pull down sink. Small yet charming.
